What Data We Collect

Short answer: ZERO personal data.

We literally cannot collect your data because we don't have servers. However, your device stores the following data locally for app functionality:

Data Stored on Your Device Only

• Dhikr Progress: Your dhikr counts, completed sessions, and spiritual milestones
• Prayer Times Preferences: Your selected calculation method, notification settings, and enabled prayers
• Quran Bookmarks: Your saved verses, reading history, and progress (if using Quran feature)
• Notification Preferences: Which reminders you want to receive and when
• App Settings: Theme, language, font choices, and other customizations
• Streaks & Achievements: Your consistency tracking and earned badges
• Location (Optional): Geographic coordinates for prayer time calculations (only if you grant permission)

How This Data is Stored

• iOS: UserDefaults and local device storage
• Web/PWA: Browser localStorage and IndexedDB

Important: All this data remains on YOUR device. It never leaves your phone or browser.

How We Use Location Data

Location data serves ONE purpose: calculating accurate prayer times for your area.

Location Details:

• What we access: Latitude and longitude coordinates
• When we access it: Only when you open the Prayer Times screen
• How we use it: Locally calculated prayer times using astronomical algorithms
• Where it goes: NOWHERE - stays on your device
• Can you opt out? YES - deny location permission and manually select your city

Your location, your choice. The app works perfectly fine without location access.

What We DON'T Collect

To be crystal clear, we DO NOT collect:

• ❌ Personal identifiers (email, name, phone number, address)
• ❌ Account credentials (we don't have accounts)
• ❌ Usage analytics or behavior tracking
• ❌ Device identifiers (UDID, advertising ID, etc.)
• ❌ IP addresses or network information
• ❌ Crash reports or diagnostics
• ❌ Cookies or tracking pixels
• ❌ Any data for advertising or marketing

Third-Party Services

We use ZERO third-party services.

No:

• Google Analytics
• Firebase
• Facebook SDK
• Advertising networks
• Social media integrations
• Cloud sync services

DhikrFlow is 100% independent and self-contained.

Data Sharing

We share ZERO data.

Because we don't collect data, we can't share it. It's that simple.

We do not:

• Sell your data (or any data)
• Share data with advertisers
• Provide data to analytics companies
• Hand over data to third parties
• Use data for research or studies

Your Data Control

You have complete control over your data:

Export Your Data

• iOS: Use device backups (iCloud or iTunes)
• Web: Browser's developer tools can access localStorage

Delete Your Data

• iOS: Settings → Clear All Data → Confirm
• Web: Clear browser data or use Settings → Clear All Data
• Complete removal: Uninstall the app or clear browser storage

Manage Permissions

• Location: iOS Settings → DhikrFlow → Location → Never/While Using
• Notifications: iOS Settings → DhikrFlow → Notifications → Off

When you delete data or uninstall the app, it's gone forever. We don't have copies.

Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

DhikrFlow is safe for users of all ages, including children under 13.

Why it's safe for children:

• No data collection whatsoever
• No social features or communication
• No ads or in-app purchases
• No external links (except Privacy/Terms)
• Complete parental control through device settings

Data Security

The best security is not storing data in the first place.

Our approach:

• All data stays on your device (most secure location)
• No servers means no server breaches
• No network transmission means no interception
• Your device's built-in security protects your data

We recommend:

• Enable device passcode/biometric lock
• Keep your device OS updated
• Use device encryption (enabled by default on modern devices)

International Data Transfers

Not applicable. Since data never leaves your device, there are no international transfers.

Legal Compliance

DhikrFlow complies with major privacy regulations:

• GDPR (EU): No data collection = no GDPR concerns
• CCPA (California): No personal information collected or sold
• COPPA (Children): Safe for all ages
• PIPEDA (Canada): No data handling or processing

Apple App Store Privacy

In Apple's App Privacy section, DhikrFlow declares:

• Data Used to Track You: None
• Data Linked to You: None
• Data Not Linked to You: Location (for App Functionality only)

Changes to This Policy

If we ever change our data practices, we'll update this policy and notify you through:

• In-app notification
• Updated "Last Modified" date at the top of this page

Promise: We'll never start collecting personal data without explicit consent.
